King Von Reportedly Shot And Killed In Atlanta
King Von has reportedly been shot in killed outside an Atlanta night club after an altercation turned into a shootout with Quando Rondo's crew.
Two off-duty police officers working security at the club and a third working nearby returned fire.
"That physical altercation escalated into an exchange of gunfire with those groups," Atlanta's Deputy Chief Timothy Peek told AJC. "Two police officers who were working at that particular club, or lounge, noticed the altercation and engaged some of the people involved. There was an exchange of gunfire with police as well."
The incident happened at about 3 AM last night when gunfire was exchanged between the two crews. Two people were reportedly shot and killed, and multiple people sustained injuries. Officials confirmed a third died at a hospital.
The 26-year-old rapper was initially listed in critical condition following the shooting. King Von's producer, DJ On Da Beat, confirmed on his Instagram that his friend did not survive the shooting.
HotNewHipHop reports that Chicago police dispatch audio has surfaced on the internet that seems to confirm King Von was shot and killed by police. The audio surfaced on OpenMHz.com, a website that posts audio from scanners to police and fire department radio stations nationwide.
"Last night in Atlanta, police shot King Von and two of his people. Social media is active, their upset with the police," officials are heard saying in the audio. "They're not happy with the police over there."
King Von was signed to Lil Durk's Only The Family label. His album Welcome To O'Block was released on October 30.
