Rolling Loud Messiness: Kid Cudi Walks Off Stage And Ye Pops Up For Surprise Performance
Rolling Loud Miami got off to a messy start on Friday after Kid Cudi walked off stage after four songs amid boos and the crowd pelting him with trash. There was also a surprise performance by Kanye West, who Cudi replaced as a headliner after he pulled out of his performance just days before. Awkward!
Now-viral video of Kid Cudi getting hit with water bottles has been making the rounds on social media. The "Day 'n' Nite" rapper threatened to cut his set short if one more thing was thrown his way and a crowd member called his bluff, resulting in the rapper walking off stage.
Meanwhile, West came out for a surprise performance during Lil Durk's set despite pulling out of the festival. In addition to performing Cardi B's "Hot Shit," which features verses from both rappers, Kanye did "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1" off of The Life Of Pablo album. Interesting song choice considering the track features Kid Cudi's vocals.
The following day, event organizers issued a statement regarding Cudi.
"Rolling Loud is a family. Our fans, the artists, and everyone involved need to look out for each other," Rolling Loud said in a statement shared on Twitter. "Share the love and be respectful to everyone."
"We love you, Cudi. Please take care of each other and let's have an amazing day 2!"
The song choice seems petty, considering Ye and Cudi publicly feuded in February. Ye was upset that Cudi was friends with Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, who is currently dating Ye's ex, Kim Kardashian. The post set Cudi off, and he took to Twitter to call Ye a "dinosaur."
